"My fellow citizens,
Today I announce with disappointment that the Federal Liberals will no longer be part of the governing coalition. Our decision to not formally support the coalition of Mr. Farage was not an easy one to make. Mr. Crest and I believe, however, that it is in the best interest of our party to forge a new path. More prominently, we believe that we must spark in the hearts of all Falleens a liberal revolution, which we could not do from the compromising position of governance.
From the lofty and noble seat of loyal opposition, we will support the government when it is right for our country, and we will voice our humble disagreement when the objectives of the government are at odds with our morals and ideals. We will do all in our power to assist the war effort when it is right and to criticize it when it is wrong.
My fellow citizens, I tell you that the Federal Liberals will not go quietly into the night. This is not the end of the Federal Liberal Party. Nay, this is just the beginning. Our actions in the coming months will define us as a party. I hope and pray that we can continue to count on your loyal support as our party stands guard for your rights as it always has.
