The leader of the Conservative Imperialist Party, Ruth Davidson, has announced that the CIP will be withdrawing from the Imperial Government after the CCU and their leader, James Brokenshire, has proved “Unworkable in government.”

This comes just hours after the Imperial Chancellor decided to decree the Imperial budget that failed in the Chamber of Deputies, the Empire of Falleentium’s lower house. Ruth Davidson gathered with news officials outside the Imperial Parliament to give this speech.

“As I’m sure you’re all waiting to hear confirmed, the Conservative Imperialist Party is to depart the Imperial Government. Effective immediately. Mr Brokenshire, a noble man he might be, a principled man he might be, but a workable man? I’m afraid not. The Conservative Imperialist Party has mediated between the extreme aspects of the Conservative Unionists to provide you, the people, with sensible and credible government. We’ve set out our plans for student loans, we’ve repealed unfair tax breaks to specific groups, but most importantly, we’ve provided tax breaks to all those who work hard in this nation.

If only that was enough. The Conservative Imperialist Party has more plans to put forward before this nation, strong policy positions to ensure that the working man is rewarded for his struggle, but we cannot achieve those with this government. I warned Mr Brokenshire that his budget was too extreme, he chose not to listen. I warned Mr Brokenshire that if he decreed his budget the Conservative Imperialist Party would review our place in this government. That is exactly what we’ve done. After that review we have decided that we cannot take a part in this government anymore. Not whilst Mr Brokenshire, and his party, ignores the democratic institutions that govern this nation.

Thank you.”
